On our third day in Seattle, we decided to visit the Museum of Flight at Boeing Field. I really didn’t know what to expect and thought this would be more of a trip for the kids. It turned out to be really cool! I loved seeing the SR-71 Blackbird, the World War II planes, the International Space Station mock up and more!
We had fun sitting in an SR-71 Blackbird mockpit (mock-up of a cockpit — totally just made that word up), going into a hurricane chamber, exploring a control tower, and going inside an old airliner (with a lot more room than the current ones!). The gift shop at the Museum of Flight has a lot of really interesting stuff, too including many old airlines logo items and some interesting luggage. One of my favorites was Tyvek wallets that were made from maps.
