One of our favorite parts of a vacation is actually counting down to the vacation. It is such a fun family activity at home. Plus, it gets everyone excited about your upcoming vacation.
As you probably know, one of our top family vacations is a Disney vacation. It could be a trip to Disney World, a Disney Cruise, or an Adventures by Disney.

The kids always have a book to read during our travels. I love these “cutie” bookmarks themed after the Fab 5. Do you know who the Fab 5 are? They are Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto, and Donald Duck.
#35 Rapunzel Paper Craft
On board the Disney Cruise Ships, they usually have craft time. During craft time, you normally make Disney paper crafts. These are fun, but a little more challenging. For this craft, you can print out this craft and make a 3-D Rapunzel. This activity is a bit more challenging, so mom and dad may have to help.

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we always love the Muppets 3-D. It is the perfect attraction for the whole family! You can hop online and check out this fun attraction. To get the kiddos excited, print out and create these Muppets hand puppets.
#33 Fairy Godmother 3-D Craft
Another fun 3-D craft is the Fairy Godmother. This 3-D craft is a little tougher, so you may want to use some stick glue and help the kiddos with this one.

We have a bunch of Wreck it Ralph activities. We love Wreck it Ralph! On the Disney Dream, we always pop into Vanellope’s for ice cream or a sweet treat. With these activities, you can create a pencil topper, win in a maze, and even connect the dots.

At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you can meet Sophia the First at a character dining or attraction. Print out this coloring sheet for the little Princesses in your family.
#26-23 Jake & The Neverland Pirates
You may also get to meet Jake at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. He will shout “ARRRRR” during the character dining experience or you may get to meet him up close at a meet and greet. This is such a fun craft to countdown to a Disney vacation. If you are staying at Disney’s Art of Animation in a Lion King Suite, this is the epic craft for you and your family.
#8 Disney Lunch Notes
Print out these super cute Disney lunch notes. You can leave these in your kids lunch boxes. What better way to show encouragement and countdown to your Disney vacation.
#7 Star Wars Lightsaber
Our family is super excited about Galaxy’s Edge opening this year at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This will be the epic experience for any Star Wars fan! To get your Star Wars fans ready, print out this paper Star Wars lightsaber.
#6 Disney Character Planes
This is an easy activity to countdown your Disney vacation. You can print these paper airplanes themed after your favorite Disney character. I love the Pluto plane!
You can even have races to see who’s planes sails the farthest. I also like printing these and packing them for an activity at the resort.
#5 Monkey Kingdom Activity Sheet
As homeschool family, we spend a lot of time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. We really enjoy the monkeys at this park! You can print this Monkey Kingdom activity sheet from Disney Nature. It is filled with fun and learning.
#4 Mickey Shadow Flashlight Cover
I love this craft! It is super simple…just print, cut and tape to a flashlight. It does give kids hours of Mickey fun! This is a fun flashlight to keep in their room at bed time. I even bring it with me to our Disney Resort. That way they have a light in the room if they need it.
#3 R2-D2 Paper Craft
During your Disney World or Disneyland vacation, you may go to Star Wars Launch Bay. This is such an incredible attraction at Disney for any Star Wars fan.
Print out this R2-D2 paper craft to create on a plane to your Disney vacation or just to get excited about your upcoming family vacation. This craft is a bit more complicated, so you may have to help younger kids with this activity.
#2 Monsters Water Bottle Stencil
A little secret with locals and Disney fans is drinking water at Disney World. Water is free and with the crazy heat we have in Florida, you want to stay hydrated. Plan to drink a lot of water!

#1 Disney Character Selfie Props
My absolute favorite activity to countdown a Disney World vacation is the Disney Character selfie props. You can print these mousetaches. Then cut out your favorite characters and tape to a pencil or pen. Pull out your phone and get some fun selfies. We even take our favorite ones to the parks for ride pics or pics around the parks.
