We are pumped!! And up super early for the Castaway Cay 5k! Tim and the kids are running this one together. I sat out because my knee still hurts from a skateboard incident. Don’t ask!

After the race, the kids wanted to stay in Edge, which meant Tim and I got to enjoy the adult only area of Castaway Cay! Then we met back up with the kids and had lunch on the beach and ice cream! Luckily, back on the ship they had hot chocolate waiting for us. And that was great because yes it was a little chilly. And since it was our last night, we made sure to say goodbye to some of our favorite characters.

Stroll along Castaway Cay and cheer on Tim and the kids with me in the video!

Castaway Cay 5K

The Castaway Cay 5K is a runDisney event that you can only participate in if you’re on a Disney Cruise that makes a stop at Castway Cay, Disney’s private island paradise.

The best part about this runDisney event is that it’s 100% free! You get your bib and medal for completing the race and all you have to do to run it is sign up at Guest Services before you port in Castaway Cay.

Runners meet in a designated location on the morning that the Disney Cruise ship docks in Castway Cay and crew members take you out to the starting line in Castaway Cay, near the second tram stop and Pelican Plunge.

The race course starts at the bicycle rental shed and continues through the bike loop (twice) and down to the adult beach, Serenity Bay.

Are you ready to sign up for your first Bahamian runDisney event on your next Disney Cruise?
