Disney World continues to move forward with their phased reopening plan and has announced a reopening date for Boardwalk Inn. On July 2, 2021, Boardwalk Inn reopens to welcome guests to the main resort. The Disney Vacation Club portion of the resort, known as The Villas, has been open since June of 2020.
Disney World Resort Reopenings
Disney’s Boardwalk Inn joins a growing list of previously announced Walt Disney World Resort Hotel reopenings, including:
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort reopens on May 30
- Disney’s Wilderness Lodge reopens June 6
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort reopens in late July after the Mona refresh and makeover

Disney’s Boardwalk Inn
Disney’s Boardwalk Inn took a big jump in our top Disney World hotels in 2021. After many many years, Disney’s Boardwalk Resort & Villas finally updated their scary clown slide to a cute Disney Character slide. Updating this slide, moved Disney’s Boardwalk Villas to one of our favorite Disney Resorts.
This Disney Deluxe Resort has several restaurants and gift shops on an old fashioned boardwalk. You can even enjoy entertainers in the evening hours.
Disney’s Boardwalk Inn is also centrally located at Disney World. It is walking distance or a quick Friendship boat ride away from Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
This resort has lots of shopping, dining, and activities for the whole family. We love this Disney Deluxe Resort for 2021 vacations.
