Disney announced late today that they will begin phasing out the temperature checks for Cast Members and Guests, this month.

Disney World to Phase Out Temperature Screenings
Just days after Governor DeSantis removed all COVID restrictions in the state, Disney decided to phase out the required temperature checks for all Cast Members and Guests.
Cast Members will no longer need temperature checks starting on May 8 and Guests beginning May 16. Disney states, “As this guidance continues to evolve, and with the support of local health and government officials, we are making some additional adjustments. Following the advice of the CDC and our local health officials, we will phase out onsite temperature screenings at Walt Disney World Resort…”

The Orange County Health Department said that temperature checks were no longer necessary as they are now a waste of resources and “makes no difference.”
Face coverings and social distancing remains in effect at the Walt Disney World Resort, at this time.
