Easter Religious Services Available at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Easter Sunday religious services will be held in the Fantasia Ballroom at Disney’s Contemporary Resort on April 16. Catholic Masses will take place at 8:00am and 10:30am and a Protestant Service will take place at 9:15 am. Parking restrictions will apply. Guests around the monorail beam are to use watercraft and monorail transportation, which begins at 7:00 am. All other Guests should to take a bus to Magic Kingdom Park and board the shuttle to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Shuttle service begins at 7:00 am.
Easter Egg Display at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Contemporary Resort
The famous chocolate egg displays are back at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Beautiful chocolate eggs are sculpted, painted and ornately decorated by the talented pastry teams at each resort. Be sure to check out the displays before they disappear on April 29, just taking in sights and smells is a treat in itself.
Easter Activities at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
On Sunday, April 16, 2017, Guests will find various Spring activities with the Recreation team including a Candy Scramble, Egg-citing games, specialty arts and crafts, Hippity Hoppity Dance party and more! Additionally, the specialty edible Easter eggs will be on display in the lobby and guests can also vote for their favorite cast-created Spring Bonnet in the Summer Lace shop.
Specialty Easter Cupcakes Available for a Limited Time
At Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom Park, you’ll find a special vanilla cupcake with vanilla buttercream, topped with an “Easter bonnet” sugar cookie sandwich, filled with jam, coated in white chocolate.
At Epcot, you’ll find two specialty cupcakes. Fountain View has a chocolate cupcake with marshmallow filing, buttercream frosting bunny feet and a tail. And at Sunshine Seasons, a chocolate chip cupcake is filled with chocolate-caramel mousse, topped with buttercream, crushed chocolate cookies and jelly beans.
At Contempo Café, they have two specialty cupcakes — The first is a Carrot Cake Cupcake with white chocolate filling and cream cheese buttercream frosting, garnished with toasted coconut and carrot powder will be available until April 29. On April 16, a special Easter cupcake will also be available; coconut cake is filled with chocolate cream before being topped with banana buttercream frosting, white chocolate shavings and jelly beans.
