There are so many amazing Epcot restaurants. You can literally taste food from around the world at Epcot in the World Showcase.
One of our family’s favorite country in the World Showcase is Japan. Walking through the Japanese Pavilion at Epcot, you may be mesmerized by the Taiko drummers or blue-roofed pagoda and walk by one of the most popular Epcot restaurants.

Tucked away on the 2nd floor in the Japanese Pavilion is a restaurant called Teppan Edo. This table service restaurant serves lunch and dinner in a more private setting.
The menu is served Teppan-yaki, where the Teppan Chef cooks your meal right in front of you on a large grill table. It is truly entertainment, while you dine!

Teppan Edo Restaurant
Teppan Edo is one of the most beautiful Epcot restaurants with six separate dining rooms. This makes your dining experience more intimate. Your party will dine around a large table with the grill in the middle.
The Chef prepares your entree and side dishes right in front of you, so you get a first hand culinary experience.

The design of the dining rooms at Teppan Edo feature smooth lines, dimmed lights, and neutral colors making the dining experience relaxing and warm.

The splashes of red color brighten the room and draw your eyes to the table and grill highlighting the appetizing entertainment. For a restaurant in the middle of Epcot, it provides a relaxing break from the hustle of the park.

Teppan Edo Insider Tips
Be sure you practice your Japanese with your server and Chef during your meal. One of my favorite experiences at Epcot is talking and learning from the Cast Members in the World Showcase.

We love Epcot Restaurants, because this is a more intimate experiences so you can really chat and learn from the Cast Members from their countries.
The Cast Members at Teppan Edo are from Japan. Our son, Kelly, is learning Japanese. This is the perfect opportunity for him to practice his Japanese.
If you are celebrating a special occassion, be sure you mention it to your host/hostess and server. We celebrated Kelly’s 16th birthday at Teppan Edo and they sang “Happy Birthday”, brought him a cupcake, and a Chef Hat. He loved it!
