As a local living in Orlando, I have passed the Bluegreen Vacations resort called The Fountains many times.   It is on a popular road near Disney World, but tucked away.  You can see it in the distance, but I have never stopped in for a visit.  We were hosted by Choice Hotels and Bluegreen Vacations during our stay for the Choice Hotels Ultimate People Person mini vacation.  I was so amazed by the rooms, the kids activities and the POOL!  It was a perfect hotel for a Central Florida vacation.  I loved that this hotel was near the theme parks, dining and outlet shopping but still a quiet family resort.  Since we are always traveling as a family, I thought I would share my top 5 reasons we love this resort for families.

#5 The Rooms

This is not a typical hotel.  Your rooms are suites with separate bedrooms, living rooms, and fully equipped kitchens.  Each morning we made coffee and waffles before heading off on our adventures.  For a family of 4, this can be a huge money saver on meals.  With separate bedrooms, the kids could have their own room and even separate beds.  With a boy and girl, they never want to share a bed.  With The Fountains suites, each child got their own bed.  The rooms made our mini vacation more enjoyable for the whole family!

#4 Trail

The Fountains Resort has a trail around the resort.  It is a beautiful trail around ponds and lakes.  It is perfect for jogging.  For our kids, it was the ultimate perk!  When asking our kids about their favorite thing about The Fountains Resort…the answer was always the trail.  They loved it!

#3 Family Activities

There are so many kids activities throughout the resort, including snow cones, family karoake, fire pits, lawn checkers, crafts, movies and so much more.  There is a daily calendar of activities and they change constantly, so you always have fresh and fun things to do for the whole family.  Some of the activities are an extra expense, but nominal.

#2 Family Crafts

My family and I LOVE crafts!  This resort has a craft room with tons of fun crafts.  Imagine making decorative flip flops or crafts from your Orlando vacation.  That is the ultimate souvenir!  My family and I loved cooling off in the air-conditioned craft room making family crafts.  They also have movies on the big screen playing in the background, so it is double fun!  The crafts are an extra fee, but they are a nominal cost.

#1 Pool

Let’s just say the pool ROCKS!  There are plenty of lounge chairs, so you will never be wandering around the pool searching for a chair.  They have a splash park, water volleyball, pool side bar, waterproof lounge chair lockers, waterslides and so much more.  We even got to see a mommy duck and baby ducklings!  I could have easily spent my entire vacation, just by the pool!

The Fountains Resort, which is a Bluegreen Vacations property is the ultimate family resort.  You are close to your favorite theme parks, but still secluded for a more family friendly vacation.  You will still get the whole relaxing vacation vs getting home and needing a vacation from your vacation.  The Fountains Resort is one of my top choices for Orlando resorts!

Thank you to The Fountains for sponsoring my recent hotel stay.
