Are you looking for romance at Disney World? Disney can be romantic for couples. Most people think of Disney as just a family destination, but it is so much more. Tim and I spent years visiting Disney World, before the kiddos!

Lush, lavish environments await you as do an endless array of romantic activities. Dine on sumptuous meals in the finest restaurants, pamper yourself with luxurious accommodations and settle into a satisfied state of complete relaxation.

Here are some suggestions to make your Disney World even more magical…

Romantic Restaurants at Disney World

California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Enjoy a vibrant and charged atmosphere and watch culinary masterpieces being created in the on-stage kitchen. Delight in sushi, brick oven- baked flat breads, handmade Sonoma goat cheese ravioli, oak-fired pork tenderloin or butterscotch crème brûlée. Accompany your meal with specially selected and limited wines from California’s finest estates. Plan your meal around Happily Ever After Fireworks at Magic Kingdom to make your romantic dining experience, even more magical. California Grill has a spectacular view of Magic Kingdom for the Happily Ever After Fireworks!

Hollywood Brown Derby at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Dine like a celebrity in the Golden Age of Hollywood at this classic eatery. This gourmet American cuisine restaurant is an authentic replica of the original Brown Derby that was a longstanding Hollywood landmark and a haunt for Tinseltown’s brightest stars. Its celebrated caricatures even grace the walls. Add some extra value to your romantic dinner with the Fantasmic! Dinner & Show Package that includes a guaranteed seat at the Fantasmic! Show. This is a free perk when you book this package at Hollywood Brown Derby.

San Angel Inn in Mexico at Epcot

Step into an authentic Old Mexico-style rancho to experience the warmth and savor the subtle flavors and spices of authenticity. Modeled after a hacienda that dates back to 1692, this landmark restaurant specializes in dishes such as grilled tenderloin of beef, grilled shrimp and Mahi-Mahi. This is one of the most romantic restaurants at Disney World inside the pyramid in Mexico at Epcot.

Adult Entertainment at Disney World

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot

Witness a thrilling nighttime kaleidoscope as the sky erupts with over 1,100 pyrotechnic bursts and the extraordinary Earth Globe floats across the lagoon, revealing wonders of the seven continents on its curved screens – the first ever of their kind. Revel in rousing original music as the lasers turn the very sky into a work of art. To add to the romance, book a World Showcase restaurant before the IllumiNations show. You can dine and then enjoy the spectacular show around the World Showcase Lagoon.

Happily Ever After Fireworks at Magic Kingdom

Make a wish upon a star and marvel as the nighttime sky comes to life in a musical firework spectacular that is uniquely Disney. Happily Ever After features a dazzling array of never-before-seen fireworks and pyrotechnic effects created specifically for this amazing show.

Other Adult Activities

Specialty Cruises

Choose from a fantastic fleet, set sail on an exciting excursion and cruise the sparkling waterways of Walt Disney World® Resort. As you drop anchor, cap off your evening with a world-famous fireworks spectacular that will help make your romantic night utterly memorable. You can join others with a Fireworks Cruise or book Grand One for a romantic evening for 2. Call 407-WDW-PLAY for more info on the speciality cruises for your upcoming visit.

Spas at Disney’s Grand Floridian and Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort

Indulge in rejuvenating treatments for the face, body and spirit at Disney’s world-class retreats. Enjoy the ultimate in full-service spa offerings, including an array of massage therapies, facials, aromatherapies, signature services and workout machinery. Invigorate your mind and soul with a perfect balance of beauty and wellness.

Carriage Rides at Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts or Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort

Enjoy a magical horse-drawn carriage ride along the cobblestone streets and rivers of Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside and Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resorts. This same carriage ride is also available at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort through the woody areas of this resort. This 30 minute ride will relax the mind and spirit in this romantic setting. This is also one of the most economic activities at Disney World for celebrating an anniversary or honeymoon.

These are some of the activities Tim and I enjoy (without the kiddos) when we visit Disney World.
