The kids and I got to experience an Orlando hotel on my wish list. This hotel is called Rosen Shingle Creek. The Rosen Family (owners of Rosen Shingle Creek) are such a huge contributor for the tourism industry in Orlando. I was so excited to finally stay at this property with the kids.
The Rosen Shingle Creek is located in an excellent part of Orlando. It is right down the road from SeaWorld Orlando and International Drive. This property is also a quick 10 minute drive to Disney World or Universal Orlando. Besides the perfect location, this hotel is truly an escape from the touristy side of Orlando. Rosen Shingle Creek is on 255 acres along Shingle Creek. This is an actual creek that is the headwaters of the Everglades.
Rosen Shingle Creek Rooms
We love the rooms at Rosen Shingle Creek. This hotel features 1,501 guest rooms in different layouts. During our recent visit, we got to stay in an Executive Suite and the Queen Bed Accommodations.
The Executive Suite is amazing! As soon as you walk into the Executive Suite, you will see the living room area. We love the decor and the bright colored paintings. Our kids immediately hopped on the comfortable couch.
Next to the living room is a huge table and chairs. This dining room is actually bigger than our table at home. This is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal with your family. For me, it was the perfect spot to work during our vacation.
Next to the dining room, was a bar with mini refrigerator and microwave. They also had a pull down Murphy Bed. I loved the Murphy Bed. During the day, I could tuck it away to give us more space. Then in the evening hours, I would pull it down to sleep. The bed was so comfortable!
Double Queen Accommodations
Our Executive Suite had a connecting door to the Double Queen room. This is where the kids slept during our vacation. This room featured (2) Queen Beds, desk/table, flat screen television, chair by the floor to ceiling window, and dresser.
I loved the attention to detail at the Rosen Shingle Creek. The rooms were elegant and comfortable for the whole family. One of our room favorites was the view from the room. We got an incredible view of the golf course and three pools at Rosen. We could even see the Orlando International Airport in the distance. Our son (Kelly) who is training to become a pilot loved watching the planes in the distance.
Rosen Shingle Creek Resort Activities
There is so much to love about this hotel. We spent several days just enjoying the resort. We never had to leave the property. You can enjoy the pools, dining, golf, trail, spa, outdoor games, spa, and more. Our two favorites are the pools and eating!
Pools at Rosen Shingle Creek
This resort has (4) amazing pools. One pool is a quiet pool, one family pool, and one lap pool. They also had a smaller shallow pool for the younger kids.
We spent most of our time at the family pool with the beach entry.
We also enjoyed one day in a cabana at the quiet pool. We love the cabana. You can watch tv, talk on the couches, or take a nap in the lounge chairs. We even ordered lunch from the cabana servers. The ceiling fan and dips in the pool kept us cool during the Florida heat.
Check out this delicious salad (called Cedar Key Salad). It was so refreshing for a hot summer day. The kids got hamburgers with french fries. I might have stolen a few fries from the kids! They were delish!
It is a relaxing way to enjoy a day by the pool. We highly recommend reserving a cabana during your stay at Rosen Shingle Creek.
Dining at Rosen Shingle Creek
There are (12) restaurants and dining options at Rosen Shingle Creek. You can enjoy a breakfast buffet at Osceola Cafe, lunch by the pool at Cat-tails, or dinner at Mi Casa Tequila Taqueria. There are so many dining options for every member of your family.
Many of the restaurants are located inside Rosen Shingle Creek near the lobby. These restaurants are located indoors, but looks like actual buildings. There was seating inside the restaurant or outside (like on a patio). As a Florida Resident, I love outdoor seating. This was even better, because you are not melting in the Florida heat.
Our favorite restaurant is the Mi Casa Tequila Taqueria with fresh made guacamole and sizzling fajitas. The whole family loves this dining experience.
