We are HUGE Star Wars fans in the Jones Family! We love Wookie hugs! LOL!
There is so much Star Wars at Disney World to love! You can embark on Star Wars adventures, meet characters, view movie props, and shop for merchandise. Most of the Star Wars activities and rides are at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We are so excited to share some of our Star Wars favs at Disney World!
Star Wars Launch Bay
The Star Wars Launch Bay is a must do for Star Wars fans at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! You can get an up close look at props, models, and costumes from the Star Wars films.
Plus, you can also meet some of the Star Wars characters; including Chewbacca, BB8, and Kylo Ren. If you have a Disney Visa Card, you can skip the regular Kylo Ren line. There is a special line, just for you (without the wait!)
For the kiddos, you can trade with the Jawas. This is one of the must do activities for our family. The kids find goodies at the house (think sparkly stuff) to bring with them to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to trade with the Jawas.
With almost every attraction and ride, you end in a gift shop. This is the ultimate merchandise shop for any Star Wars fan. They have costumes, BB8 remote control robots, and so much more.

Star Tours
The Star Tours ride has always been a must do for our family. You can usually get a FastPass+ for this reservation, even on the same day. On this ride you jump to hyperspace on a 3-D motion simulated space flight. Hold tight as your travel with your fav Star Wars characters to locations, right out of the movies. Each ride is different! You may even go on an adventure from Star Wars: The Last Jedi. At the end of Star Tours, you exit into a gift shop. This is a fun stop to make your own light saber or droid. These are inexpensive, but super fun souvenirs.
Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away

You may be wandering around Disney’s Hollywood Studios…when you hear that song…you know that song. The one that gives every Star Wars fan goosebumps…the Imperial March. This means the Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away show is about to start at the stage in front of the Chinese Theater. Before the show starts, the Stormtroopers have a procession down Hollywood Blvd. to the theater. This part is AWESOME!
Once they get to the stage, there is a show with other popular Star Wars characters. This show runs several times throughout the day. No need to get there super early, just 15 minutes early is fine. This show rarely gets busy and you always get a great view on the stage.
Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular

One of the best ways to end your day is with the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. This is a fireworks show with lasers and projections on the Chinese Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It is quite amazing! The main view is in front of the Chinese Theater, but you have to get there super early and wait for an hour or two for the show.
If you are a huge Star Wars fan, I would suggest the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party. It is a little pricey at $79 per adult/$45 per child (3-9.) However, it will save you time and you will get the best view of this amazing show. You also get a ton of sweet treats, all inspired by Star Wars.
Here is our video from a day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular.
Star Wars Magic Shots
We love the Disney PhotoPass! This is such a simple way to get pictures of the entire family to remember your day at Disney World. Disney takes those pictures to a whole new level with Magic Shots. The Magic Shots are your regular pictures, with a hidden gem! When you pull up your Disney PhotoPass account (after your vacation), you may find a picture of Mickey Mouse or Stitch or even your favorite Star Wars character with your regular family picture.
While you are wandering around Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you may want to wander to the construction entrance for the soon to be Galaxy’s Edge. This exciting Star Wars inspired land will be opening in 2019. However, you can enjoy a Magic Shot in this location. Just ask the Disney PhotoPass photographer about the Darth Vader Magic Shot!
Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple
For younger children, this is a must do at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Your younglings will be dressed in a brown robe and taught how to become a Jedi. Your young Jedi will even get to battle a surprise character from the Dark Side. This is such a fun activity for the kiddos! They have opportunities for the Jedi Training all day long.
