Today we share some of the top destinations to plan a family vacation. You can watch the video or scroll down to find our favorite destinations.
Let’s jump into our first destination in Florida called St. Augustine.
St Augustine
Just 30 minutes from Jacksonville in North Florida is the oldest city in the United States called St. Augustine.
This city has beaches, history, and amazing food. This small town has lots to do for the whole family. You can explore the fort along the intercoastal waterways, which is a National Park. You can walk along the boardwalk with spectacular views of the boats and Bridge of Lions.

You can eat and shop along St. George Street. This cobblestone street is perfect for exploring and family pictures. There is so much history in St. Augustine. We love hopping on the Red Train Tour around St. Augustine. You can learn about the city and see all of the hot spots.
St. Augustine Beaches and Vilano Beach is nearby if you want to hit the sand and surf. This city is on the Atlantic Ocean, so bring a boogie board or purchase one at a nearby shop. Your kids will have so much fun riding the waves.
St. Augustine is a hidden gem in the United States with great food, history, outdoor activities, and beaches. The best news, no passport is required. You can just hop in the car and head down to St. Augustine.
Dominican Republic
Many of the Caribbean Islands have been opening, including the Dominican Republic. We love the Dominican Republic for tropical beaches and all-inclusive vacations. There are many amazing all-inclusive resorts in the DR including ClubMed and Now Onyx.
If you are ready to book your family trip, click the eye in the sky. Tim and I will be happy to recommend a member of our team to help you plan your family vacation in the United States and beyond.
Japan
One of our family’s favorite destinations to visit is Japan. This is such an amazing destination. Our two top cities in Japan are Tokyo and Osaka.

For a family vacation, we love Japan! There is so much to do for the whole family.
Florida Keys
If you are looking for a tropical destination, but do not want to leave the states; you may want to consider the Florida Keys. This destination reminds me of Bahamas and the Caribbean. We love the Florida Keys!
The Keys are about an hour from Miami starting with Key Largo. There are several main islands from Key Largo to Key West. It takes at least 2 hours to get from Key Largo to Key West (based on traffic). On weekends, it can take up to 4 hours to get from one point to the other with traffic.

Our two favorite islands in the Florida Keys are Islamorada and Key West.
You can rent a boat at Robbie’s, meet some sea turtles at the Turtle Hospital, go fishing off the highway, or chill at one of the beaches. If you like sun and fun, the Florida Keys is the perfect family vacation.
Club Med Sandpiper
The only family all inclusive resort in the United States is located in Port St. Lucie, Florida called ClubMed Sandpiper. This resort is over 100 miles from Miami and 100 miles from Orlando.
You pay one fee and your whole vacation is included in the price. Once you arrive to ClubMed, you can just put your wallet in the safe. Everything from activities to drinks to food to kids club are included. We love all inclusive resorts.
ClubMed Sandpiper has a ton of resort activities and kid club activities. It is located on a lake, so you can enjoy water sports like kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, and sailing. This property is also known for their sports. They have golf, soccer, trapeze, and volleyball. They even have academies to help you learn a new sport or improve one.
There is so much to love about ClubMed Sandpiper in Florida. It is an amazing resort for families!
Dude Ranches
If you are looking for a more intimate family vacation, we highly recommend dude ranches. We got to experience a dude ranch called Vista Verde in Colorado over the winter months.
During our vacation, there were only 15 other families. We got to snow shoe, ride horses in the snow, tube down a mountain, and even take a horse drawn sleigh ride. It was another incredible family vacation.
Similar to ClubMed, you pay one price and your whole experience is included. If you are looking for snow, but not a big downhill skier we recommend a dude ranch like Vista Verde.
National Parks
National Parks in the United States are so popular with families.

This is another family adventure that you can just hop in the car and go. You can stay at a hotel or even camp on your adventure.
Our favorite National Parks for families are Delicate Arch, Zion, and Yellowstone. National Parks are beautiful and an incredible learning opportunity for the whole family.
Biltmore Estate
We love hopping in the car and heading to Asheville, North Carolina. This city is on the edge of the Great Smoky Mountains. An amazing hotel (aka a castle) in Asheville is called Biltmore Estate.
If you love Europe, you may want to book a stay at the Biltmore Estate. There are several hotels on this 8,000 acre estate. You can bike around the Biltmore Estate or just soak up the beauty from your hotel. It is the perfect weekend or Spring Break destination.
Costa Rica
Several international destinations are open and ready for travelers. If you are ready to practice your Spanish, you may want to plan a family getaway to Costa Rica. This is actually where Tim and I honeymooned (many years ago). You can experience rainforests, volcanos, and tropical beaches in Costa Rica.

It is truly a family adventure that everyone will love.
Orlando
One of the tourist capitals of the United States is Orlando. There is so much to do in Orlando with nearby beaches, theme parks, rocket launches, and warm weather. You can plan a vacation to experience a lot of Orlando or just visit one of the destinations like Disney World or Universal Orlando.
Mexico
We do miss cruising, but we can still visit many of the popular cruise ports of call like Mexico. This country has been open for months for visitors. You can visit cities like Cancun, Los Cabos, or Cozumel. These are all popular spots in Mexico with beautiful beaches, warm breezes, and cool water.
