This lodge is perfect for a couples getaway. We love visiting this resort as a staycation. We never visit the Disney Parks or Disney Springs. We just relax and enjoy the resort. Be sure you book a Savanna View Room (with the request of a higher floor) to get the best room location during your escape.

If you are looking for an escape, but close to dining and nightlife; Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal Orlando is the perfect choice. This resort is themed after Italy. I have been to Italy and it is spot on. I love grabbing a cup of coffee and sitting on the piazza on the lake (just to relax and people watch). There are (3) pools, including two quieter pools called the Villa Pool and Hillside Pool. You can even rent a cabana for the day. If you want a little more action in the evening, you can take the boat to Universal CityWalk for dining, shopping, and nightlife.

I like to order room service and just enjoy breakfast right from the balcony. This resort also sits right next to downtown Neptune Beach with tons of restaurants within just a few feet. Some of our favorite dining in Florida is located in this beach town.

The Margaritaville Beach Resort sits on the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. This is the perfect boardwalk to walk or bike with a beautiful view of the beach and Atlantic Ocean. If you are looking for a beach resort in a hopping city, Margaritaville in Hollywood is the perfect choice for you.

One of the top Florida beach hotels is also an amazing value! The Hard Rock Daytona Beach is a newer beach resort. Since it is a newer hotel, you can find some incredible prices. During our last visit, we got a rate of only $119 for a city view. You can also upgrade for an oceanfront room with a patio or balcony. This is a fun room over the weekend. You can sit on the balcony and watch the live entertainment.

A hidden gem in Florida is Amelia Island. This is a quaint beach community in North Florida. If you are looking for a quiet beach town, Amelia Island is perfect for your getaway. Your family will enjoy the popular hotel called Omni Resort Amelia Island. This hotel has so much to offer parents and kids!

We do recommend spending a day wandering downtown Amelia Island. They have lot of shops and dining in a cute downtown. You can even rent a golf cart at the Omni to drive to the downtown area. Amelia Island is one of our favorite beach communities and the Omni Resort Amelia Island is one of the top Florida beach hotels.
