Top 5 Must Do’s at Magic Kingdom

There are so many “must do” rides, shows and parades at Magic Kingdom Park at Disney World.  For our family, we visit Magic Kingdom almost every week.  Every time we go to Magic Kingdom, we have our “regular activities” or we call our Must Do’s.

Here are the Jones Family’s Top 5 Must Do’s at Magic Kingdom:

#5 Festival of Fantasy Parade

This newer parade at Magic Kingdom is nothing short of amazing!  We may not sit and watch the whole parade every time we visit, but we do try to get a glimpse of it.  This is one of those parades that you do not have to sit and wait, you can just pop up behind other families and watch.  You will still get a great view. Our favorite part is when Maleficent breaths fire!  That is so cool!

#4 See a Princess

This is probably on the list of almost every family with a prince or princess!  They want to see a Disney Princess.  We do use our FastPass+ reservations quite often to spend some time with a Disney Princess.  Even just a couple minutes to dance or get a hug from a Disney Princess makes Hunter so happy!  You can see the Princesses around Magic Kingdom, but making a FastPass+ at the Princess Fairytale Hall is the easiest way to see a Disney Princess with a little wait time.

#3 Chicken Nuggets

So, I am sure this sounds like a funny Must Do!  I LOVE the chicken nuggets at Disney World.  It does not matter the day, the weather, or even if we already had dinner…when I walk into Magic Kingdom I instantly feel like eating chicken nuggets.  Almost every visit to Magic Kingdom, we get chicken nuggets.  The great news is the chicken nuggets are the same at almost every counter service restaurant at Disney World, so if I have the nuggets at Columbia House or Pinocchio Village Haus, they are the same great recipe!

#2 Sorcerers of Magic Kingdom

Sorcerers of Magic Kingdom is one of our Must Do activities anytime we visit this park.  It is fun, challenging, and rarely a line.  You can even collect your cards and use them on your next visit, so it is an on going game.  You can pick up your game or Sorcerers of Magic Kingdom cards on Main Street USA.  You are then assigned a section of Magic Kingdom to play.  You then use your spells to help save the day!  There is a lot more to this game, but as you play again and again you will learn from fellow Sorcerers of Magic Kingdom gamers.  It is a really fun game and a Must Do for our visit to Magic Kingdom.

#1 Ride Mine Train

After Mine Train opened last year and a photo shoot with Disney (where we rode over 10 times in a row), this has turned into one of our Must Do’s for the Jones Family.  It is just fun for the whole family!  The line is always long, so we try to take advantage of FastPass+.  Mine Train is a great roller coaster during the day and a different experience in the evening, so we try to hit it anytime we are visiting Magic Kingdom.  On Mine Train, our kids love watching for the hidden Mickey (on the right side as you are leaving the mine).

On a recent visit to Magic Kingdom, we hit almost all of our Must Do’s for the Jones Family.  You can come along to see our experience.
