Top Rides at Universal Studios Florida

Revenge of the Mummy

Revenge of the Mummy Universal Studios Florida
Based on the popular “Mummy” films, the world’s first “psychological thrill ride” places riders in seeming jeopardy, bringing them face-to-face with both physical and psychological fears Ð fear of the dark, fear of bugs, fear of fire, fear of falling, fear of being out of control and more. The first ride to make our top rides at Universal Studios is the Revenge of the Mummy. This dark-ride-meets-roller-coaster is a heart-pounding experience any thrill-seeker is sure to love regardless of whether or not you are familiar with the Mummy movie franchise. An elaborate, dark and creepy queue gives a lot of build up to the attraction, which almost immediately hurls you into danger.

The effects here are great with fire, water and more coming at you when you least expect it! We don’t want to give any spoilers, but there’s definitely a little extra surprise just when you think you have escaped the Mummy! This is an epic thrill ride.

Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon

A popular ride at Universal Studios also has a huge timesaver. Our next top ride at Universal Studios is Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon. You can use the Virtual Line on the Universal Orlando app to reserve a time for this ride.

Once you enter the queue, you will find charging stations, games, couches, and televisions showing fun clips of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Not long after you enter the queue area, you head back for the ride. You will see some characters like Hashtag the Panda, Ragtime Gals, and other friends from The Tonight Show as you race Jimmy Fallon through New York City.

Men in Black Alien Attack

Your entire family will love the next best Universal Studios Ride in Orlando. In this attraction, you become an MIB Agent Trainee whose job it is to save New York from aliens. To earn your MIB suit, you’ve gotta zap those suckers with your blaster!

Not only is it exciting to compete against your traveling part to see who can earn the most points, but the gags you’ll see along the way are funny as well. This is a fun one! And if you ask the agents out front, you may even be able to get a free “Immigration” Tour that allows you to go into the big immigration room to check out the props and get a photo op!

Hogwarts Express

hogwarts express

While you are at Wizarding World of Harry Potter, be sure you hop on the Hogwarts Express. This train ride takes you from King’s Cross to Hogsmeade. You can also hop on the Hogwarts Express from Hogsmeade back to King’s Cross. The show is different in both directions. This is definitely a must do at Universal Orlando.

You do need the Universal Orlando ticket that includes the Park to Park option to ride the Hogwarts Express. This option allows you to visit both Universal’s Islands of Adventure AND Universal Studios. If you have this option on your ticket, you can ride the Hogwarts Express.

Be sure you pre-order your Universal Orlando tickets, before your vacation. You will save time and money by pre-ordering your tickets.

If you book your tickets with our company at Destinations in Florida, you also get an amazing free perk called Early Park Admission. This allows you access into Islands of Adventure one hour before the park opens.

You get into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Hogsmeade before everyone else. This means you can get on Hagrid’s and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey before everyone else.

Transformers

Transformers at Universal Studios Florida

Our entire family loves Transformers: The Ride 3-D at Universal Studios. This 4-D experience is amazing! You have been recruited to save Earth from Megatron and the Decepticons. You will help Optimus Prime and Bumblebee keep the AllSpark safe and away from Megatron. It is a thrilling ride for families.

Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit

One of our favorite roller coasters in Orlando is Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. Once you board the ride vehicle, you will pick out a tune to rock to while riding the coaster. Hunter and I are big fans of the Beastie Boys on this ride! Each person can pick out their favorite song.

You start off climbing toward the sky at a 90-degree angle into a crazy drop. This epic roller coaster will have you rocking out, screaming, and laughing all of the way through.

Escape from Gringotts

Another ground-breaking attraction and another Harry-Potter-themed ride, Escape from Gringotts may blow your Muggle mind! For starters, this attraction and story takes place in Gringotts Bank, which sits beneath an actual fire-breathing dragon at the end of Diagon Alley.

Once you enter the bank, you’ll make your way through the stunning marble lobby past frighteningly lifelike goblins. Not only is there a pre-show, but there’s also an elevator ride that takes you deep underground before your adventure even begins. It’s multiple experiences in one ride!

Once you finally board your cart, you’ll find yourself trying to evade malicious villains like Voldemort and Bellatrix, as well as trolls and other creatures. Your cart will twist and turn through the vault and may surprise you with unexpected motions and sensations. Good luck with your escape. Hopefully Harry, Ron and Hermione will be there to help you!
