Today, we explore the top snacks at Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort. What are your favorite snacks in the Wizarding World? Read on and see if yours gets a mention from the Jones Family!

Hot Butterbeer

Hot Butterbeer

Our first top Wizarding World of Harry Potter snack is Hot Butterbeer. In the morning or over the cooler winter months we love Hot Butterbeer. This drink is a perfect alternative for those parents that like coffee in the morning. I love grabbing a hot Butterbeer with the Pumpkin Pasties for breakfast at Universal Studios.

No Melt Ice Cream

One of the cutest snacks at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is the No Melt Ice Cream. You can choose vanilla, chocolate, or pink. The pink one is Love Potion flavored. The No Melt Ice Cream comes in a cute plastic glass with a tiny spoon. If you love frosting, you will love the No Melt Ice Cream.

Butterbeer Ice Cream

Did you know there is an ice cream shop, right in the middle of Diagon Alley?

You can get soft ice cream with flavors like Banana, Chocolate, Granny Smith, Mint, Pistachio, Vanilla, Orange Marmalade, Toffee, Toffee Apple, and Strawberries & Cream.

You can also get hard ice cream with flavors like Chocolate Chili, Apple Crumble, Vanilla, Salted Caramel Blondie, Chocolate, Clotted Cream, Earl Grey & Lavender, Sticky Toffee Pudding, Chocolate & Raspberry, and Strawberry & Peanut Butter.

You can even create sundaes with fun toppings.

You can get ice cream in a souvenir cup or waffle cone. I love the souvenir cup. It is only $1.50 more and your kids will love it this souvenir. They can drink their milk every morning in it, before school.

The ice cream that make our top Wizarding World of Harry Potter snacks is the Butterbeer. If you come to Diagon Alley, you have to get the classic Butterbeer ice cream in the souvenir cup. You can also sit on the stairs next to Gringotts bank and enjoy the view while eating your ice cream.

Pumpkin Pasty

Our family’s second favorite snack at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is pumpkin pasties. You can find this sweet pastry at Hogsmeade at Honeyduke’s or Sugarplum’s Sweet Shop at Diagon Alley. Unfortunately, you may not always find this pastry. There have been many days we were not able to get the Pumpkin Pasties. However, when we do find it the whole family is thrilled.

It is a delicious flaky pastry with pumpkin flavoring inside. This treat is more popular over the fall months, but we love it all year long.

We love it so much that we like to make this recipe at home.

Pumpkin Cake

If you love pumpkin, but looking for a little more sweetness you may want to try the Pumpkin Cake. You can buy Pumpkin Cake at Hogsmeade at Honeyduke’s or Sugarplum’s Sweet Shop at Diagon Alley. This pumpkin flavored cake is the size of a cupcake. The cake is buttery and has a rich pumpkin flavoring. The frosting is thick and super sweet. I love frosting, but I like the inside of the Pumpkin Cake more. Be sure you ask for a fork. The Pumpkin Cake is super messy. It makes it easy to eat with a fork. This is also a treat to share with the whole family.

Cauldron Cake

The next treat to make our top Wizarding World of Harry Potter snacks is the Cauldron Cake. This is another snack you will want to share with the family. This snack is a treat and souvenir (all in one). This cake comes in a cool Harry Potter themed box. Inside the box, is a cake in a cauldron. The cauldron is plastic, so it makes the perfect souvenir for a holder for pens/pencils or to make more cakes at home.

We love the chocolate cake and buttercream frosting of the Cauldron Cake. Be sure you ask for a fork for this snack, too. It is the perfect size and sweet enough for everyone to just have a few bites.

Elixir

Our next snack is a fun activity for the kids, beside a top snack at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. At Diagon Alley at Universal Studios, you can get an elixir at Eternell’s Elixir of Refreshment. Your kids can pick out one of the colored elixirs.

The elixirs are Fire Protection Potion, Babbling Beverage, Draught of Peace, and Elixir to Induce Euphoria. There are two costs to this snack. You will buy the elixir and if you do not have a water, you will also have to buy a Gilly Water.

You will then pour the elixir into your Gilly Water and the color will change from clear to colored. The flavors reminds us of Koolaid. The kids love it!

Frozen Butterbeer

The #1 Wizarding World of Harry Potter snack is Butterbeer. You can get regular or Frozen. Our top pick is Frozen Butterbeer. This frothy drink is perfect for the hot summer months. They are sweet enough that two kids can share one Frozen Butterbeer. You can even ask a Team Member for an extra cup if you kids do not like to share.

Be sure you take out the straw and get the classic Butterbeer mustache picture. Your kids will love this memory from your vacation.
