Jumping out ahead of their neighbors at Walt Disney World Resort, once again, Universal has removed all temperature screenings to enter the parks and resorts. They’ve also reduced the social distancing guidelines to 3 feet from 6 feet. Both measures take effect, immediately.

Universal Orlando Reduces Social Distancing
Just days after Governor DeSantis removed all COVID restrictions in the state, Universal Orlando Resort decided to phase out the required temperature checks and reduce social distancing guidelines, immediately. New safety guidelines on Universal’s COVID safety guidelines page appeared, today.
We’re excited to enhance your Universal experience with the latest safety updates from local health and government officials. There are no more temperature checks upon entry. And Social Distancing between travel parties is now reduced to three feet (1 meter). Still, most of our original safety protocols remain unchanged—from wearing face coverings across our Resort to our ongoing dedication to cleanliness and sanitization.
The Orange County Health Department said that temperature checks were no longer necessary as they are now a waste of resources and “makes no difference.”
Face covering requirements remain in effect at Universal Orlando Resort, at this time.
