As a Florida family, we live right down the road from Universal Orlando Resort. We love to spend time playing and eating at the Universal Orlando restaurants. There are so many dining options at Universal Studios, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay, Universal CityWalk, and Universal (Loews) Hotels. It can get all so confusing!

We have selected a few of our favorite Universal Orlando fast food restaurants to point you in the right direction for your family vacation.

Top 5 Fast Food Universal Orlando Restaurants

Let’s dive into some fun fast food spots at Universal Orlando Resort. Who is hungry for some pizza?

Red Oven Pizza Bakery

Location: CityWalk

Red Oven Pizza Bakery is nothing like what you would expect from theme park pizza. It starts with hand-tossed dough made fresh in the open kitchen. You personalize your desired ingredients and your pie is hand-crafted before your eyes and before heading into the 900° stone-lined oven where it’s cooked in 90 seconds or less.

You can then enjoy your meal on the go with a convenient take-out window, or relax in a covered, outdoor seating area. A selection of imported beer, wine, and other delicious drinks complete the experience. Pizzas are about $14 or less and many adults find splitting a pie to be a perfect sized meal. This is the perfect option if you are craving an Italian restaurant.

Fast Food Boulevard

Location: Universal Studios Florida, Springfield: Home of the Simpsons

Get ready for some laughs and maybe a smoking hot drink?

Fast Food Boulevard is the home of several Simpsons-themed quick service restaurants inspired by the wacky eateries of Springfield: Krusty Burger, The Frying Dutchman, Flaming Moe’s, Cletus’ Chicken Shack, Luigi’s Pizza, and Lisa’s Teahouse of Horror. The Simpsons jokes abound not only on the walls and TVs playing clips of the show, but also in the hilariously named menu items.

Try the Clogger Burger at Krusty’s (2/3 lb. Burger topped with Applewood smoked bacon, Secret Sauce, cheddar cheese sauce, a giant tomato slice & iceberg lettuce, served on a specialty bun) or the Chicken and Waffles from Cletus’ (Double battered, extra crispy fried chicken breast between two waffles with maple syrup mayo and tater tots). Kids will love the Chicken Thumbs (tenders).

Before leaving, pop over to Moe’s Tavern to get a Flaming Moe drink. Have your camera ready for a fun shot! Don’t worry, it’s non-alcoholic.

This restaurant may serve typical fast food, but it is a lot of fun. This is a big reason it made our top Universal Orlando restaurants list.

Bayliner Diner

Location: Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort

Cabana Bay Beach Resort has a quick service location called Bayliner Diner. There are tons of seating and several different entree stations, which offer wide-ranging options. Dining at your resort is convenient for expedient breakfasts, but this quick service is worth the trip to the resort for lunch and/or dinner.

The menu includes paninis, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, pizza, pasta, stir fry, salad bar, homestyle entrees (American, Italian, Grill, and Salads/Sandwiches), desserts (like ice cream or cakes) and even a bulk candy store.

The quality here is better than typical counter service, and the portions and prices offer great value. We really enjoyed the Brazilian churrasco-style flat iron steak with chimichurri sauce!

Bayliner Diner also offers the on-site hotel refillable mug program Sonic Fill, which allows as many refills as you like for one upfront price. If you are staying at the resort and plan to dine frequently at Bayliner Diner or Galaxy Bowl, this is something you may want to try.

On top of the great food and drinks, Bayliner Diner simple looks cool! Its retro vibe is consistent with that of the rest of the resort. And the old shows and commercials playing on the big screens are highly entertaining to watch while you dine.

Thunder Falls Terrace

Location: Universal’s Island of Adventure, Jurassic Park

Another location with ample indoor seating and tasty foods is Thunder Falls Terrace in the Jurassic Park area at Islands of Adventure. One of the best seats in the house offers guests a view of the big splash down of Jurassic Park River Adventure from a safe and dry distance.

Here you’ll find BBQ Ribs, Rotisserie Chicken, Smoked Turkey Legs, Burgers, Wraps and Salads. Sides like Roasted Corn and Herb Roasted Potatoes offer some nice variety as well. Beer and wine are available here too. Thunder Falls Terrace is a great choice at Islands of Adventure, especially if you want to reserve your Harry Potter dining for Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley another day.

Leaky Cauldron

Location: Universal Studios Florida, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley

The newest of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter eateries, Leaky Cauldron meets all the expectations for the Potter-loving fan. Once inside, you find yourself under a cathedral ceiling with views towards the guest rooms in the inn. The actual leaky cauldron is available for you to snap a photo of and the walls are adorned with articles and artifacts you’ll want to spend some time examining.

Once you finish marveling at the sights, dive into authentic and delicious tastes with menu items like Bangers and Mash, Fisherman’s Pie, or Toad in the Hole, which is a traditional British dish consisting of sausages in Yorkshire pudding, served with vegetables and onion gravy—it’s said to resemble toads peering out from a bog. The Kid’s Menu offers Fish and Chips, Macaroni Cheese, and Cottage Mini Pie.

Don’t forget to pick up a Butterbeer for dessert. You can purchase them at Leaky Cauldron during your lunch or if there is no line and you just want to pick up a Butterbeer.

This location is a must do for fans of the Harry Potter stories and for anyone seeking a delicious and unique dining experience at Universal Orlando.

Check out our video with The Beach House. We have lunch at Leaky Cauldron during our visit to Universal Orlando Resort.

If you are visiting Islands of Adventure, another Harry Potter option is Three Broomsticks at Hogsmeade. They have similar dining options. Plus, you can sit outside and enjoy an incredible view of Hogwarts Castle.

Favorite Sit Down Universal Orlando Restaurants

There are so many tasty fast food locations at Universal Orlando Resort. If you are planning on sit down meals, we wanted to share some of our favorite sit down Universal Orlando restaurants.

Mythos Restaurant

Location: Universal’s Island of Adventure, The Lost Continent

Mythos is an excellent restaurant at Islands of Adventure. We love to cool off in this restaurant during our day at Islands of Adventure. You can order appetizers, entrees, and dessert. We like to order several appetizers to share at this restaurant and just enjoy the view. You get an incredible view across the lake of the Hulk Roller Coaster. You cannot beat the view!

The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar

Location: Universal CityWalk

The Cowfish is our favorite restaurant at Universal CityWalk. Imagine burgers and sushi for dinner . . . burgushi?!? It sounds weird, but it is delicious.

Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen

Location: Universal CityWalk

This restaurant is a must do for the family, if you love chocolate. This is one of the most extensive menus at Universal Orlando. Their desserts are to die for! You also may have the opportunity to meet a few characters from the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium.

We have a few honorable mentions for fast food and sit down restaurants at Universal Orlando Resort. These honorable mentions include Hard Rock Cafe (for brunch), Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food, Voodoo Doughnut (donuts for breakfast), and Bread Box (for handcrafted sandwiches).

Are you getting hungry? What are your favorite dining at Universal Orlando restaurants?
