Get inside the AquaMouse with the Jones Family! More than just another water slide aboard the new Disney Wish, the AquaMouse gives Guest an experience that rivals the theme park attractions.

Inside the AquaMouse

Come inside the AquaMouse and learn more about this attraction at sea. We have a behind-the-scenes look at the development of the AquaMouse, including the ride vehicle!

Inside the AquaMouse

Similar to the new Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction that is found at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World and coming soon to Disneyland — The AquaMouse will take Guests through an exciting journey with Mickey Mouse and the gang through a brand new animated short called Scuba Scramble.

The 2 minute long AquaMouse adventure will feature show scenes, lighting and special effects in a first-of-its-kind water ride that will send guests on a family adventure through 760 feet of winding tubes suspended high above the upper decks of the Disney Wish.

As the story goes, Mickey and Minnie are starting their very own seaside excursion company — aptly named “Port Misadventures” — on board the Disney Wish, and adventuresome cruisers will join them on an undersea excursion to Mermaid Lagoon that will inevitably (and hilariously) go awry.

The journey will begin when guests board their two-seater ride vehicles and ascend into a magical tunnel that will teleport them into the cartoon world of “Scuba Scramble,” a new animated short that plays out through oversized virtual portholes. Along the way, they’ll encounter curious sea creatures, familiar Disney friends and more than 60 water effects that bring the sub-aquatic hijinks to life – all perfectly synched to an original musical score by Emmy-nominated composer Christopher Willis (“The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse”).

At the height of the show, guests will blast out of the tunnel and embark on a wild water ride around the upper decks. First, they’ll zip into the forward funnel through an enclosed tube surrounded by dazzling lighting effects, followed by a quick dash through a dark tunnel that opens up to reveal breathtaking views of the ocean.

They’ll then jet up and down a series of speed blasters as they are propelled toward the grand finale: a soaring loop over the edge of the ship, with clear views down to the deep blue sea. With that, they’ll splash down for a sendoff message from Mickey and Minnie – another successful tour in the books!

Disney Wish Behind The Scenes

Disney released a new behind-the-scenes video about the Disney Wish that includes lots of details about the AquaMouse attraction at sea. The video includes many shots of the ride vehicles, scenes from the attraction, views of the tunnel and slide, and more. Check out the video.

Watching the video and seeing the ride vehicles for the AquaMouse, we draw many similarities to Universal’s Volcano Bay Krakatau Aqua Coaster ride. We can’t wait to check out the AquaMouse on the Disney Wish to see the similarities and differences between the two attractions.

The Disney Wish will have its Maiden Voyage on June 9, 2022 — Sailing 3 and 4-night cruises to the Bahamas and Disney’s private island Castaway Cay. This is the largest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the first of three in the new Triton Class. The Disney Wish will offer Guests many brand new experiences. In addition to the AquaMouse Guests can look forward to a new Frozen dinner show, a Star Wars Lounge, a Marvel dining experience, and much more.
