Salt Armour Faceshield Review

What’s a faceshield?

Well, some of you may call it a “Buff.” That’s a name brand of a faceshield. I have a couple “Buffs” and I have a couple Mission Cool faceshields. Neither of them compare with Salt Armour faceshields.

In most of the places we travel, protection from the sun is a must. Whether we’re in the Florida Keys or out west in the high desert, the sun will steal your energy and give you a pretty nasty burn, if you’re not careful.

That’s where Salt Armour faceshields come in very handy. You see, we don’t like to use regular sunscreen. The chemicals in standard sunscreens are just not safe (some are actually cancer causing agents!). When we do use sunscreen, it’s usually from Badger sunscreens or another zinc oxide option. You can see me using them throughout our Florida Sea Base vlog.

A Salt Armour faceshield is great for covering up that oft-burnt section of your neck, as well as over the nose. They’re very comfortable, even in hot temperatures and if they feel too stifling, just get them wet and they’ll cool you right off!

They also help when you’re fishing or doing any salt water sports with the glare that comes off the water. Kind of like the black stripes football players wear under their eyes.

I also use a Salt Armour faceshield (or two) every single time I go camping. They’re way better than a schmaugh or a beanie to keep your head warm at night or to keep the bugs off your face. Plus, you still get the great sun-blocking benefits in the outdoors.

Salt Armour Faceshields Review

I already mentioned how comfortable the Salt Armour faceshields are on your face. They’re also much tighter than a Buff. What’s that mean?

Well, I’ve found, with a Buff, they tend to slip off your nose, pretty easily. I don’t exactly have a small nose and I hate having to constantly pull the Buff back over my nose.

Salt Armour Faceshield ReviewSalt Armour faceshields are just tight enough to stay over my nose without being uncomfortable.

They’re also SUPER inexpensive. I regularly get them, on sale, for about $5 each! Check out this offer:

That’s the one I usually use. The last time I did this deal, I got 5 faceshields for $22, shipped! Sometimes, it’s a little more, based on the offer they’re running (about $15-20 for that first faceshield), but that’s a phenomenal price! One Buff is usually $25-30! For that price, you get 5 Salt Armour faceshields, that are a better product, IMHO!

Also, the Salt Armour faceshields have some of the best designs I’ve ever seen! Skulls, jokers, flags from various countries and old US flags (I love my “Don’t Tread On Me” faceshield), galaxies (Hunter’s favorite), Hawaiian prints (got a compliment on mine from the boat captain on our Hawaii snorkel trip), and of course, my favorite color, camo in all it’s glorious forms.

While we are affiliates for Salt Armour, I was a fan WAY before I was an affiliate. I think I have about 20 different Salt Armour faceshields. Now that we’re affiliates, I’m definitely going to be checking out all they’re other outdoors products.
